BOX OF TINY TREASURES

you allow me little secrets
to store them and share
them with you
because you were there
when a little something
touched my heart so
seriously that it hurt
you were there and saw
what noone else was able
to see

and right before i was ready to
push it away as far as possible
out of disappointment
you came to me
opened my fingers, softly
and put it in my hand
this little box
with colours and ornaments and beautiful details

i was wondering
about the inside
but then i realized
it were all those little things
i wanted to throw away
to forget them
and yeah, the pain
was in there, too
but now i agree with you.
