Ein ganz alter Text aus dem Frühjahr 2006, den ich gerade wiedergefunden habe und irgendwie immernoch mag. Deshalb ist er jetzt auch hier.
I'M A RUNNER
Wake me up
For I’m a sleeper
And my sleep gets deep and deeper
Wake me up
For I’m a thinker
And I’m in danger to drown
In my mind
Wake me up
for I’m a dreamer
But my dreams
They lead astray
Wake me up
For I’m a runner
And if you don’t hold me
I’ll run away
Wake me up
Make me a lover
Make me lose my head and heart
Wake me up
Just please come closer
So that I can learn to see
The traces of your face
when you gaze at me
Perhaps there are wrinkles in your eyes and mouth
Perhaps your eyes have a
special kind of shine
maybe your touch feels especially soft
Or exciting
maybe your embrace is all I ever waited for
And I never let it happen
I don’t know
Could you show
Me, please…?
(maybe your voice produces goosebumps
Or my heartbeat stops for a few seconds
I can definitely imagine that!)
Just please..
Would you talk to me
and could you not stop
Until the walls of my hardened heart break down
Because I really want them down
You know
I want them down
And I want to build walls
Against the walls
So that they never come up again
